The ReliOn Insulin syringe is a sterile, single-use, disposable, hypodermic syringe with a permanently affixed hypodermic needle. It consists of a single barrel, plunger rod, and hypodermic needle affixed to the tip of the syringe.

On November 5, 2008, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported an nationwide recall of incorrectly labeled lot of ReliOn Insulin syringes. The recall was announced by Tyco Healthcare Group LP due to a possible mislabeling of the dosage in each syringe, resulting in a possible overdose delivery of insulin.
